One of my favorite sites in the Republic of Ireland - a 45 minute drive from Dublin in the Wicklow Mountains. Glendalough comes from the Vikings and means land of two lakes
Entrance to the medieval monastic settlement founded by St Kevin in 6th century in Glendalough
Round or bell tower used to summon the monks to prayer built sometime between 900 and 1200
