Tasmania

Four seasons in one day here in Tasmania!  It is about the size of Maine.
                                              Arriving at the Hobart Airport
Visiting the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary - here is a wombat
                                                     Tasmanian Devil
Maddy feeding kangaroo at the Sanctuary
Drove from Hobart To Launceston thru some interesting little towns

                    Tasmanian National Park Lookout Point
                               Tasmanian Arch

Port Arthur is a village and historic site in southern Tasmania, Australia. Sitting on the Tasman Peninsula, it was a 19th-century penal settlement with a fascinating history of convicts (?) shipped here from England for very minor offenses.  Turned out many learned various trades and became valuable contributors to society.
Hiking in the Cataract Gorge in Launceston, Tasmania

We visited the Platypus House, best picture I could get of a platypus
And an echidna, waddles like a duck and eats ants
                                More beautiful fauna
Our group wine tasting at the Ghost Block Cellar - all local grown food
Ferry from Devonport to Melbourne at the Bass Straits
                             Australian golden wattle tree
Largest and best calamari Inever had at our welcome dinner in Hobart.
