Texas/New Mexico Road Trip - February 21 to March 6, 2020

On Friday, February 21st,  Maddy and I met at the Dallas/Fort Wayne Airport, rented a car and headed to Austin, Texas.  
 We drove thru the quaint town of Hillsboro, Texas

Austin, Texas - Historic Driskill Hotel - Our home for 2 nights.

Driskill was in a great location for seeing Austin - Lots of bars, live music & restaurants.

We took a walk along Lady Bird Lake, a River-like reservoir on the Colorado River.  Kayakers returning from a trip on the lake.

 Rowing team on Lady Bird Lake taken near the South Congress Street Bridge where bats fly in from Mexico and make their temporary homes under the bridge from March thru October.   

SOCO - South Congress area with tons of restaurants, shops, new buildings and lots of people.
