Albania (seaside): Berat, Vlora, Butrint & Saranda - Sunday & Monday 10/3 & 10/4/2021

Overnight in Vlora - 3rd most populous city in Albania surrounded by the foothills of the Ceraunian Mountains along the Albanian, Adriatic and Ionian Sea coasts

Butrint a UNESCO World Heritage Site & National Park - an archaeological site containing artifacts & structures dating from the Iron Age to the Middle Ages

Entrance to the Asclepieia, the healing temple.  Asclepius was the god of medicine, healing, rejuvenation and physicians and carried a serpent-entwined staff.

View of Lake Butrint from the archaeological park. It is connected by the Vivari Channel to the Ionian Sea.   The channel is the demarcation line where the Adriatic Sea ends and Ionian Sea begins.

After visiting Butrint we spent the night in Saranda

Learning about lantana flowers & buds and enjoying the beautiful deep color of the bougenvillea
