Faravahar the symbol  of Zoroastrianism

Seems every city has one of these signs......

Heydar Aliyev Center designed by British architect Zaha Hadid. It is noted for its flowing, curved architecture and named after Heydar Aliyev President of Azerbaijan Republic from 1993 to 2003.  Worth a trip to see unique, elaborate dolls, rugs, art and miniature replicas of famous Baku landmark buildings.

Driving to the Village of Shikhi

It was quite a scary road!

Village of Shikhi

  Spices are the rage here

Bridge across a river that I walked across
