Border crossing into Croatia from Bosnia
Plitvice Lakes National Park - UNESCO site - it was a rainy day, but it was worth the hike! Aquamarine beautiful, clear lake!
Plitvice Lakes National Park is a 295 square km forest in central Croatia. It’s known for its chain of lakes, joined by waterfalls that extend into a limestone canyon. Walkways & hiking trails wind around & across the water and an electric boat links the upper & lower lakes.
We hiked from Koman Lake, the upper part and down to the lower two lakes to the wooden bridge below to get a better view of the falls
A variety of paths - up, down and over bridges
After hiking to the lower lake, we took 2 ferries to get back to Lake Kozjak, the highest lake where we started our hike. It was a very peaceful, quiet, & scenic ride on the lakes
