Flying from Bergamot, Italy to Sofia, Bulgaria

Going to Rila Monestary - about 1-1/2 hour drive from the city


Beautiful frescoes on the walls & ceilings


Our lunch stop in the mountains where we had Lake Trout & Hungarian Mishmash

Lots of Sunflower farms on the road back to Sofia

Alexander Nevsky Patriarchial Cathedral in the city built in the memory of all the Russian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Moldavian, Romanian & Finnish soldiers who from 1897-1898 gave their lives for the liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottoman Empire
