Another 6 hour drive from Sukhothai to Chang Rai - a very nice scenic drive up to the mountains. Chang Rai, Thailand is near the borders of Myanmar and Laos
We visited the PhraKeow Temple in Chang Rai the original location of the Emerald Buddha (this is a replica of the one we saw in Bangkok)
Night market in Chang Rai has numerous stalls with a variety of food already cooked and fresh foods that you can cook at your table in a clay pot. A really fun experience and a must if you visit the city.
