Goodbye Chang Rai, Thailand, Hello Bokaew, Laos. After passport control in Thailand we had to take a bus to passport control in Bokaew, Laos
We met La, our guide, and Chan, our driver. Then we had the worst 10 hour drive to Luang Prabang, ancient capital of Laos. All twist and turns and numerous ruts, 2 landslides, and a constant jarring in our seats. Not the way to get to Luang Prabang! There is an airport but no flights yet due to COVID
But the countryside in Laos was beautiful!
